Product Description

Are you constantly lugging power adapters back and forth between home and the office? Are you tired of fighting for outlet space with those around you? Are you a “road warrior,” always packing and on-the-go? The Bolt family was built with just such problems in mind. These chargers provide high-powered, versatile solutions to keep your most essential devices running.

Two adapters, rolled into one.

Consolidate two adapters into one. Charges an iPad in approximately five hours (much faster than the six to eight normally required), with another port available for an Android/Apple smartphone. Why settle for anything less than fast-speed convenience?

Travel lighter.

Lighter than an Apple and an Android charger combined. Requires less space in your bag without sacrificing anything in the way of use. Just bring along your OEM wires, and you’re ready to go!

Rest assured.

Designed with a unique dual-circuit protection system. We understand the importance of keeping everything safe – especially when away from home – and have worked our hardest to provide our customers with the greatest peace of mind possible.

Usage note

- To ensure complete safety and best performance, we strongly recommend using your device’s original cable or a third-party certified cable (such as MFI).

Apple and Android ports: What's the difference?

USB-charged devices look for a USB pin signal before they accept a full-speed charge. Most devices use a standard USB pin signal; Apple devices and a few others, like the Galaxy tab, require specialized pin signals. Our Android and Apple ports are hard-wired to accommodate these two types of charging authentications. However, an Apple device can (usually) still charge from an Android port and vice versa, sometimes at a slower speed, but oddly, often also at full speed.

  • Good choice
  • I ordered a few of these for use around the house and they are really nice, stay in the wall well without falling out, etc. They might be the slightest bit bulky if trying to use in a tight space, but for example on a vertically oriented power strip, it should only take up one opening.

  • Not as fast as I thought it would be, but it works well for my Nexus 5.

Unfortunately, PS3 controllers are notoriously picky with what they can charge from (generally a computer or a PS3 itself) so this charger won't be able to charge them.

Charging Astro2 9000mAh
Does anyone recommend charging an Anker 2nd Gen Astro2 9000mAh? If so which port is recommended. How long would it take to fully charge the external?

We'd suggest going for the Apple port! It should take around 7 hours.

Safe charger for phone & tablet?
I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 and a Galaxy Note 8.0. They can both use the same charger but using a phone charger for the Note 8 takes forever. Do you have a charger that will charge the tablet in a reasonable amount of time but also charge the Galaxy S3 without overcharging it? I've read that using tablet chargers on phones can damage the phone or the battery. Thanks for the excellent products!

The two ports on this charger are rated for 1.5 and 2.1 amps (android and apple ports respectively) While I cannot speak for the Note 8.0 specifically I have used other samsung tablets and own a Galaxy S3. The Samsung tablets I have encourtered have massive power bricks, if your came with the same charger as your S3, it is rater for .75 amps. I almost always charge my S3 with a 1.5 amp charger, as well as my iPad mini. Since the tablet charges at all on the S3 charger it should work dramatically better on this device, and best on the apple output. The S3 can also handle 2.1 amps, so should work just fine on either port.

The charger on this page will work fine with your S3 and Galaxy Note.

If you were looking for something truly universal then take a look at our 40W charger with 5 Power IQ ports. That'll charge any device with maximum compatibility.

UK plug
Are your chargers available with plugs to suit UK wall sockets?

This appears to be only available in the USA. However the voltage is 100 to 240,  so you could use an adapter

Our chargers that go directly into the wall aren't available with UK style prongs.

Our chargers that have power cables though (eg 40 W 5 Port) will be supplied with UK style plugs if you make the purchase on Amazon UK.

Dual smart port or dual Android charger
Are you considering a two port Android wall charger or even a dual smart port charger?

We're mainly focusing on our Power IQ systems at the moment but we don't have any immediate plans for a two port version.

The 5 Port charger might still be a good investment, remember the number of smart devices needing USB charging is only going to increase!
