  • Perfectly Satisfied
  • Fully satisfied, great product. In fact I am using it now. The keys are a little tight but you get used to it quickly. I will likely put the rubber feet on the bottom just so it does not slide on my desk, but overall a great product!

  • Decent enough
  • The hinges are cheap looking and even more cheap looking is how the part number for the hinges are printed on them. It makes the overall package with Ipad look cheap. The keyboard doesn't connect right away at times. You have to re-connect to the Bluetooth and that task itself can get daunting. When everything does work though, nice typing function on the keyboard. Definitely helps with that part which is why I bought it.

  • Great keyboard
  • This is a great keyboard for the iPad mini. The keyboard is small, so fast typing may be a challenge unless you have small fingers.

  • Great Keyboard!
  • I have used this with my iPad Mini when traveling; it takes some adjusting too because of the smaller size of the keyboard, but it works great! I take notes at meetings then I email them to myself and copy/paste the notes into MS Word; as well as, use my web applications to do work while traveling. This eliminates the need for the full size laptop and I can still do the work I need to while away from home! A great addition to my iPad!

  • Love it!!!!
  • I absolutely love this product. It works as stated in the product description. The magnet is amazing even with a skin on my iPad mini. It's lightweight, durable and the color is professional. This is a great product at a reasonable price. I recommend this to those considering this purchase.

Apostrophe "shortcut"

My question is this:
Why, oh why is the apostrophe stuck on a Function+O key?
I use it much more frequently than say...
- a semi colon
- colon
- a question mark
- Pipe
- Forward/Backslash
And yet the apostrophe is tucked away using a combination I have never used on a keyboard before.
Please can a fix for this be introduced?

Because it's hard to fit a good full size keyboard in the same room as an ipad mini. Keys had to be regrouped and repositioned.

The FN + O keys isn't too hard to press.

Left pinky on FN and right third finger on O

I am really interested in buying this product, however I can not find it on the website. Is this product going to be available to buy in the uk and if so when? I can only find the ipad air version on and that's it.

More often than not, it sells out and then Amazon needs to wait for Anker to send more of them. This happens with a lot of Anker's products, so keep checking back! Or maybe check on or .fr....

I hope you read my review at this site for this product. It is beautiful and functional and a great value at the price. I use mine every day. I'm expecting some upgrades from Anker based on the reviews of this product so if you can wait a bit you may be pleasantly surprised.

A beautiful match for Mini/Retina
The very first impression is that this keyboard/case is absolutely beautiful, a perfect match to the good looks of the iPad Mini/Retina. The brushed aluminum finish looks like it was made to compliment the tablet and the size/shape/fit is perfect. It barely adds any thickness to the iPad an almost insignificant weight. Despite its size the keys have a nice size to them. Maybe your fingers won’t fly over them like with a full-size keyboard but I am able to type accurately and reasonably rapidly. There is a satisfying amount of keystroke that is totally missing in the rubber membrane keyboards some other manufacturers use. Your Mini attaches for carrying to a strong magnet strip and additional magnets keep the case closed. When ready to use it simply slide the iPad into the secure magnetized slot and the screen is a perfect angle for typing. What I really like, unlike many other designs I have used, is that the screen is held very securely … most others slip and slide around. This is about as small as realistically possible to carry around as a laptop replacement for quick tasks like surfing the net, Facebook or email. As soon as I received mine I took it on a pleasure trip for which I wanted to pack very lightly. It got a lot of admiring glances in the lobby of the resort I stayed at. The keyboard charges with a standard USB cable (it came pre-charged) and features automatic Bluetooth connectivity after the initial pairing. I experienced no keyboard lag as I have with some of the other keyboard/cases. One final note – the keyboard attaches to the iPad in an unusual way, with a strong magnetic hinge as noted above. It is indeed strong! I felt no concerns that the two pieces would separate, but please be realistic about it … lifting the keyboard to let the tablet flop backwards could invite trouble, remember it is a magnet and as strong as it is, the tablet could snap loose under some conditions. I can’t see myself doing that, but use prudence just the same.

Wanted to add that I just came back from a trip where I used this on one of those tiny airline tray tables and it was ideal. I could slip the entire mini fully protected into a large jacket pocket when I wasn't using it. Those who travel by air a lot know what a hassle it is to do "something" with their full-size laptop when you want to take a nap. No where to put it.

I just received my new Bluetooth keyboard for my mini IPad. Do I have too charge the keyboard before connecting?
Replies(4) Collapse Report as spam Feb 7, 2014 at 10:05 AM
yes. it may arrive with a partial charge, but like most all rechargeable devices it is always best to give it a full charge before first use.

Good's always a good idea to charge any new device to its fullest before using it!

Mine came charged (it seems all Anker products with batteries do) but as the other post suggests, it is always a good idea to give any new device a full charge, manufacturers claim it will promote maximum battery life.

That would be ideal. They always come partially charge but give it a full charge if you want to first.

I always play with it first before charging

Can i create shortcuts to apps
I really like this keyboard and the preprogrammed shortcuts, but want to know if I can create shortcuts to apps, like Fn+F to open Facebook. Thanks.
Replies(2) Collapse Report as spam Dec 25, 2013 at 5:54 PM
I do not think this is programmable. However if you can find an app that allows it or maybe jailbreaking, it may work with software but it is not default on this keyboard or most other reputable blue tooth keyboards I've seen for the ipad
Reply Report as spam Dec 25, 2013 at 8:04 PM
Our keyboards don't have shortcuts like this; however, I will provide this feedback to our product manager. Thanks for your kind suggestion.
