  • One day in an I am very satisfied with this product. The puck sounds much better than the cheap external speakers I replaced and the ability to move it around the desk certainly helps when using the microphone.

  • Great Lil Speaker!
  • This is a good quality bluetooth speaker for the price. Honestly, my only quibble is the obnoxious voice that cannot be turned off and really, I've only got a beef with the voice because we use this in lieu of a white noise machine for our baby daughter and she's woken up on more than one occasion because the thing starts harassing you when the battery is low. Again, these are very personal gripes and on the whole I love this nifty little cylinder.

  • Loud and clear!
  • Use this at work and at home. Love the sound and volume that it puts out. Great for when my wife or I are exercising. I'm not a sound quality guru or have super high expectation for quality. I think it puts out a good sound compared to other similarly priced bluetooth speakers.I have quite a few Anker products and I've always had good luck with them.

There are known issues with Bluetooth and iOS 8 (up to and including 8.0.2). Supposedly there is a fix coming in 8.1.

Charging the Unit
The instructions say the LED should blink blue and red when charging and the solid blue when complete. My unit started blinking and then it stayed red. Is there a problem?

It should stay steady blue when it's fully charged.

Please get in touch with your CS guys at and let them know if this isn't the case. They'll be able to help you further.

Anker Portable Bluetooth 4.0 Speaker
I bought this speaker 7 months ago from Amazon and was very pleased with it.  However it will no longer hold a charge.  I use it mainly when I travel so it has not been used more than 100 hours.  Is it fixable or just a paper weight?

I have the Anker portable bluetooth 4.0 speaker and am very pleased with it. But I have tried to delete saved bluetooth pairings following the instructions in the user guide and they do not appear to work (old pairings are still remembered). The instructions are to press the last-song or next-song button for 5 seconds when in standby mode. Are those instructions correct? Please advise. Thanks.

The instructions do warn that this reset may not have an effect depending on the Bluetooth version and device you're attempting to pair with.

If you're still having problems then give our customer service guys a shout at and let them know.

Is it possible to play music through two Anker® MP140 Portable Bluetooth 4.0 Speaker through one iPhone 5s at the same time ?
Replies(1) Collapse Report as spam Jun 20, 2014 at 11:23 AM

The iPhone 5 is only capable of pairing with one device at a time so this won't be possible.

Why is the above manual not available in pdf format?

Replies(2) Collapse Report as spam May 16, 2014 at 8:32 AM

The image is available as a JPEG image, this should suffice shouldn't it?

Reply Report as spam May 16, 2014 at 9:52 AM

We just decided to go for JPEG manuals instead of PDF, apologies if this is an inconvenience.

Use of portable speaker

Stupid question, but will this be useful for increasing sound level on my Apple macbook air which has poor msound quality on itunes and playing dvd's/iplayer?

Fire and Ice

Yes it will increase the sound!

Reply Report as spam Apr 29, 2014 at 1:42 PM

This will definitely increase the sound on your device!

Reply Report as spam Apr 29, 2014 at 3:45 PM

IIRC, you ought to be able to set your output sound to use the BT speaker and bypass your computer's speakers. I bet they're a little tinny too.

Reply Report as spam Apr 29, 2014 at 4:07 PM

it'll increase the volumn but it can't help the fact that it's a MAC

Reply Report as spam Apr 29, 2014 at 4:07 PM

Hey. Let's not start to bash...

Reply Report as spam Apr 29, 2014 at 4:12 PM

Absolutely it will.

You can even push it further and take a look at our MP151 speaker. A touch more expensive but the sound quality is fantastic and unrivaled for its size and price bracket.

Speaker died!

My speaker died last night whilst I was watching a TV show on my iPad.

I assumed it had run out of power so I put it on to charge all night but it still has no power.

I tried another socket in case, but still nothing.

It hasn't been dropped or mistreated in any way. I'm completely flummoxed as to what could have gone wrong.

Any help gratefully received!
