  • love it....
  • Love it. Ive had it over a year now and use it everywhere. In the car, house, and outside. Great sound with bass too. Battery last a long time on one charge

  • Fantastic small speaker for the price. Great build quality.
  • Tried a more expensive, popular name brand bluetooth speaker, and it was junk. Very quiet, and the battery stopped holding a charge after a month. Did some research and tried two of these. What a surprise! Loud, easy to use, and hold a charge. In fact, one sat for over 3 months and held it's charge, no problem. We liked them so much that we bought the newer model as gifts for friends. The new (square) ones are nice, louder and supposedly holding a longer charger, but I kind of prefer this model. The rounded design, brighter lights, and audio cues ("Unit on!", etc) are fun.

  • Small speaker with big sound.
  • Awesome little speaker. This speaker very good quality. The sound that comes out of this thing is amazing. I mainly use this paired to my Nexus Tab (2013) and have zero issues.

  • Great speaker. Annoying voice when pairing and low power.
  • I really like Anker and this bluetooth speaker has been great. There are simliar size speakers that resemble this and I dont think this one is that much different. the voice on this thing is very annoying.overall I really have been on the Anker bandwagon and would buy from this brand again.

  • Great compact speaker
  • Great compact speaker. I'm not a huge audio geek, so I guess I can't speak to the technical / bass/treble/sound type things. But what I can say, as an average person listening to music on my Anker compact speaker, this little thing gets the job done and for the money, I'm glad I purchased it. Haven't used it yet as a speakerphone so no comments there.

We don't have a max output in DB but it is a 4W RMS.

That would vary according to the source material and could be measured in inconsistent ways. It is a personal speaker, not intended to be loud vs being small.

turn off announcement voice
I really like this unit, but the annoucement voice annoys others around me - as well as me.  I can't figure out how to turn it off.  Also, the announcement voice does not respond to the volume switches and apparently no way to turn it down.  Please send me instructions to turn off or at least turn down this "feature."  Thank you, Ron

Unfortunately the voice cannot be turned off.

We have listened to our users though and we'll have new speakers available very soon which don't have this feature!

Aren't they looking at building that capability in future BT version?

With current Bluetooth standards there is only one way I can think of and that is to use a stereo mini Y connector to hook them both to the source.

Yes gherardini I'm not sure when that new standard will become reality but two of the features of the next BT standard will be simultaneous multichannel transmission to multiple receivers and improved audio quality.

The speaker needs to be paired to play and most devices cannot pair with two Bluetooth connections at the same time so this won't work unfortunately.

There are known issues with Bluetooth and iOS 8 (up to and including 8.0.2). Supposedly there is a fix coming in 8.1.

Charging the Unit
The instructions say the LED should blink blue and red when charging and the solid blue when complete. My unit started blinking and then it stayed red. Is there a problem?

It should stay steady blue when it's fully charged.

Anker Portable Bluetooth 4.0 Speaker
I bought this speaker 7 months ago from Amazon and was very pleased with it.  However it will no longer hold a charge.  I use it mainly when I travel so it has not been used more than 100 hours.  Is it fixable or just a paper weight?

I have the Anker portable bluetooth 4.0 speaker and am very pleased with it. But I have tried to delete saved bluetooth pairings following the instructions in the user guide and they do not appear to work (old pairings are still remembered). The instructions are to press the last-song or next-song button for 5 seconds when in standby mode. Are those instructions correct? Please advise. Thanks.

The instructions do warn that this reset may not have an effect depending on the Bluetooth version and device you're attempting to pair with.

If you're still having problems then give our customer service guys a shout at support@ianker.com and let them know.

The iPhone 5 is only capable of pairing with one device at a time so this won't be possible.
