  • Great audio for the price, BUT you must leave your phone right next to speaker at all times.
  • I am overall pleased with this bluetooth speaker for the price. The sound quality is good and it is easy to use and holds a charge for a long time. I love that it is very compact and easy to travel with. My biggest disappointment is that you should plan on leaving your phone right next to the speaker. Wandering even a few feet away from the speaker will interfere with the quality and cause the audio to skip or break up. I wish it had a longer range, but for the price, I suppose it is acceptable.

  • Great speaker for the price
  • Great volume and substantial bass depending on the environment used. Pairs easily via bluetooth and has a tremendous battery life on each charge. Only drawbacks would be the auditory notifications for power, connectivity, and battery status. Wish there was an option to disable these.

  • Very nice speakers. Bought two of them for my kids. They both love it.

  • very good quality
  • I don't know how this produces as much sound as it does. It is quite impressive. It is small enough to take on trips and use in a hotel room and the speaker and microphone are quite good for speaker phone calls. It is seriously impressive that this is able to produce the range and volume it is capable of. The included cable lets me use is with my non bluetooth desktop too, so i didn't need to by speakers for it either. It is well made, and the battery life i would estimate to be about 8 hours even after several months of use.

Anker Portable Bluetooth 4.0 Speaker
I bought this speaker 7 months ago from Amazon and was very pleased with it.  However it will no longer hold a charge.  I use it mainly when I travel so it has not been used more than 100 hours.  Is it fixable or just a paper weight?

I have the Anker portable bluetooth 4.0 speaker and am very pleased with it. But I have tried to delete saved bluetooth pairings following the instructions in the user guide and they do not appear to work (old pairings are still remembered). The instructions are to press the last-song or next-song button for 5 seconds when in standby mode. Are those instructions correct? Please advise. Thanks.

The instructions do warn that this reset may not have an effect depending on the Bluetooth version and device you're attempting to pair with.

If you're still having problems then give our customer service guys a shout at support@ianker.com and let them know.

Is it possible to play music through two Anker® MP140 Portable Bluetooth 4.0 Speaker through one iPhone 5s at the same time ?

The iPhone 5 is only capable of pairing with one device at a time so this won't be possible.

The image is available as a JPEG image, this should suffice shouldn't it?

We just decided to go for JPEG manuals instead of PDF, apologies if this is an inconvenience.

This will definitely increase the sound on your device!

IIRC, you ought to be able to set your output sound to use the BT speaker and bypass your computer's speakers. I bet they're a little tinny too.

it'll increase the volumn but it can't help the fact that it's a MAC

Absolutely it will.

You can even push it further and take a look at our MP151 speaker. A touch more expensive but the sound quality is fantastic and unrivaled for its size and price bracket.

Speaker died!

Hi,

My speaker died last night whilst I was watching a TV show on my iPad.

I assumed it had run out of power so I put it on to charge all night but it still has no power.

I tried another socket in case, but still nothing.

It hasn't been dropped or mistreated in any way. I'm completely flummoxed as to what could have gone wrong.

Any help gratefully received!

Thanks,

Steve

Anker 4.0 speaker

Hi I bought this 4 months ago and it's been brilliant. However two days ago it stopped working on battery only. Even when fully charged it only works when it's plugged into the mains. Can you let me know if there is something I can do to get it to work without being plugged in

Thanks

Marie

Plugged into power or plugged into a 3.5mm jack?

If the bluetooth isn't working. Check your phone, remove the device and reconnect it as a new device

Price Drop $24.99
Amazon has the Anker Portable Bluetooth 4.0 Speaker for $29.99. The coupon code: “ASPEAKER” drops it down to only $24.99 at checkout. That’s $35 off the list price and the lowest we’ve seen for it. Source: http://9to5toys.com/2014/02/25/anker-portable-bluetooth-4-0-speaker-25-reg-40/

Thanks for the heads-up on this. I have one of these and it sounds very nice for it's size. That speaker is currently being illustrated when you try to choose the cube speaker which sounds MUCH better for a few dollars more. Or, the Dual-Driver speaker is only $1 more than the one your referenced. Anker offers several options for BT speakers and I would rate this one maybe #3 in terms of sound quality.

Quote From TechToyWizard: I would also recommend the cube speaker. Definitely better value. Bigger, clearer sound in a nice well designed package. Well worth the few dollar to upgrade to a even better device.

Except once again it seems to be out of stock, and the one that OS commented on has "replaced" it on the Amazon page.

Quote From TechToyWizard: Yeah it keeps going in and out of stock. The one OS posted replaced it because Anker keeps putting multiple similar products on the same page, so you don't get an OOS page for the cube speaker or other products. It's kind of annoying but also smart as it drives customers to other Anker products

To Anker: I saw a comment at Amazon about this that once the product description changed to the round speaker, the reviews stayed posted for the cube speaker, which really confused and mislead potential customers. Wouldn't it make more sense just to post that a product is out of stock rather than suggest a similar but different product?

I *love* this~!
Got one of these for Christmas, and it is sweet! I use it both as a speaker for my Shuffle, and as a speakerphone for my iPhone. The small size makes it very handy too.

Hmm - I'll have to check this? I would assume the volume would be louder if turned on, rather than just acting like a pass-through?

Yes, I quite agree. And I love how you wouldn't need to turn on the speaker if you will not be utilizing the bluetooth feature. all you need is to just plug in the cable from your mp3 player/phone/tablet. Anker: Quality products + superb customer service + affordability.
